Promote Bike MS

Spread the word about Bike MS and help us grow the event!

Spreading the word online:

  • Use a National MS Society badge as your profile picture on Facebook, MySpace, Google+, and others.
  • Download and post a web banner on your site. Forward it to everyone you know who has a website and ask them to post it, too. Remember to have the URL click back to your personal fundraising page, or to www.MSupstateny.org
  • Make Bike MS the wallpaper on your computer screen and the signature on your emails.
  • Share with us on Facebook by posting pictures and comments showing where you distributed Walk MS material.

How to spread the word about Bike MS in your community:

Distribution Days

Help spread awareness of Bike MS by requesting Bike MS promotional cards or “rack cards” (the same size as a brochure) and distribute them. Request rack cards and place them at your workplace, in local businesses (with permission), at libraries and community centers, or wherever you might find a community display space. We will also be hosting “Distribution Days” where you can come to your local office of the National MS Society on a pre-determined day and get supplies and a route to drive and distribute brochures to local businesses. Distribution Days will be March (dates TBA). To request rack cards or sign up for Distribution Days, email nyrevents@nmss.org.

Hang a Poster

The chapter has Bike MS posters for each of the individual rides. Request these posters and hang them at your workplace, in local businesses (with permission), at libraries and community centers, or wherever you might find community bulletin board space. To request posters, email nyrevents@nmss.org.

Letter to the Editor

Writing a letter to the editor at your local newspaper is great way to showcase what you are doing to help create a world free of MS and how others can join you. Download a sample letter here, personalize it and send it in. You never know who you will reach with your story.
